Yate open

Well done to all the FODAC junior athletes that took part in the Throws and Jumps open in Yate today:
Will Compton managed another PB in Hammer and Shot today and a SB in Long Jump. His Hammer result stands him in a good position to qualify for the English Schools Championships.
Dylan Menhennet managed to PB in all 3 events today (Hammer, Discus and Shot)
Maisy Harvey achieved a new PB in Hammer with a massive throw of over 36 metres achieving the qualifying standard for the English Schools Championships! Depending on other results today it could put her 2nd in the UK (and the T&F season hasn’t officially started yet). Way to go Maisy!
Sophie Harvey took part on her first Long Jump event as an under 15 today and set a good start mark for the remainder of the season with a SB
Tillie Westwood achieved 3 SB’s today in High Jump, Javelin and Discus. Depending on any other results from today it could give her a UK ranking of 1st for Discus and 4th for Javelin.
Charlie Roberts also took part in his first competition as an U15 and coped brilliantly with the new weight of the javelin throwing over 18m. Again this will be a good benchmark for the rest of the season!
Well done team! Xx
