About us

The Forest of Dean Athletics Club is a UK Athletics affiliated Athletics Club founded in 1982. Based at the Five Acres Sports Centre in Berry Hill near Coleford in the Forest of Dean. We compete in Track and Field Athletics, Sportshall Athletics, Cross Country Running, Fell Running and Road Running.

We are a small but friendly club are are well known for the way in which we punch well above our weight in competitions. We have many county champions in our squad, our athletes have regularly represented the county in inter-counties events and at the UK Schools Olympics. The club has been awarded ‘Clubmark’ an indication of the quality of our systems of health and safety and athlete care.

We run sessions for primary school age children on Saturday mornings between 9.00am and 10.30am at Five Acres Sports Centre at Berry Hill near Coleford.

Secondary school age boys and girls may be interested in joining our Junior Athletes on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings.
