SW Schools CX Champs

Arrived in Exeter to bitterly cold winds and snow and a course that was frozen solid apart from that it was a very good cross country course the start went straight into a long uphill drag a bit like Birmingham with a very icy downhill finish.

With an hour to go before the races started the snow turned to freezing non stop rain, I have never been so cold or seen so many cold looking people.

Meg was first to go and had a good run finishing in the low twenties she finished really well passing about six runners in the final sprint to the finish line.

Next off were Emily Ellie and Tara, Emily ran well and finished in the top half of the field, Ellie in mid field and Tara who had been running with Ellie on the first stretch finished further down the field after the girl in front of her fell (another Gloucestershire runner) Tara went over the top of her and a Wiltshire runner was taken out by Tara they were all that tightly packed together it was unavoidable.

Sadie came 22nd out of year 10 – 11 and she was the first gloucester girl home. :)
