Hi there,
Sign up to do Gold Challenge’s 2012km Challenge and raise money for Greenpeace and you could be one of the first people to run on the track at the 2012 Olympic Stadium!
The 2012km Challenge is simple – cover a total distance of 2,012km, either by yourself or as a team, using sports ranging from running to horse riding.
If 2,012km is a bit too much, you can also choose to go for 201.2km or 20.12km.
And as an added incentive, if you sign up and start fundraising by 29th February, you could be in with a chance of winning the opportunity of a lifetime – to run 100m in the 2012 Olympic Stadium as part of one of the test events for the real thing.
What is the 2012km Challenge?
Gold Challenge is the UK’s first Olympic and Paralympic sport based charity challenge and is part of the mass participation legacy programme for London 2012.
The 2012km challenge is just one of the ways you can get involved.
You and your team mates can cover your chosen distance using a number of different sports, including swimming, cycling, rowing and many more. Stick to just one, or try out loads of different ones.
Gold Challenge will create a page for your team so that you can record your distance travelled on the Totalizer and see how close you are to your target!
How do I sign up?
Signing up couldn’t be easier – just register on the Gold Challenge page, find your team members and start clocking up the kilometres. And of course start getting sponsored!
The top fundraisers on February 29th will have the chance to take part in the Gold Challenge Stadium Parade alongside sporting legends and celebrities.
Once you’ve signed up, let us know so we can help you out with your fundraising. Email me at fundraising.uk or call on 020 7865 8236 for a chat.
Good luck!
